2021 Princeton Entrepreneurs’ Network Startup Pitch Competition
Date and Time: May 20, 2021 6PM – 7:30PM Eastern Time
Prizes:
1st Place Award $2000 cash prize + VC Meetings
Winner: Soliome
Soliome is producing patent-pending protein-based sunscreens to replace current synthetic varieties that pose health risks by absorbing through skin and that cause ecological damage such as coral bleaching. Because Soliome’s peptide based sunscreens consist of naturally occurring UV-filters, all life will be able to safely metabolize them, and because they are anchored to large molecules like peptides, they will not be able to readily pass through skin and accumulate in tissue.
People’s Choice Award $1000 cash prize
Winner: Project Plastic
An environmental tech company that develops natural systems for the collection and removal of aquatic microplastics.
