Bio:

Susanne is a graduate student in the Smart Cities group at the MIT Media Lab under Prof. William J. Mitchell.  She is interested in the benefits of thinking holistically about urban development and technological change.  Her research interests span urban real estate development processes, science-focused development and technology-enhanced urban experiences.

 

Her experience includes working for an affordable housing developer – Telesis – where she contributed to the planning of several mixed-use and rehabilitation projects in New York, Wilmington, DE, and Pittsburgh. Susanne was a Project 55 Fellow.

 

Susanne holds a Masters in City Planning from the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT and a Bachelor of Arts in architecture from Princeton (’01).  Born in Vienna, Susanne grew up in the United States, Australia and Austria. She is fluent in German, English and French.
