introducing docsNtalks - Helping conference attendees and presenters remain connected
Tigers!
I would like to introduce you to docsNtalks (www.docsNtalks.com), a new online tool for conference organizers and generally for collaboration that I am part of. In addition, we are also looking for a marketing officer to join our team, so I figured I would kill two birds with one stone :)
How many times have you attended a seminar or a conference and found yourself enlightened, inspired and engaged in conversations you wished could go on indefinitely? Unfortunately, like all good things these events come to an end. You might keep in touch with a few of the fascinating and valuable contacts you’ve met via email. However, these follow-up dialogs can quickly lose context or be lost among the constant inflow of new demands filling your inbox. Never mind, you still have that CD the organizers mailed you with all the presentations archived... If only you could find it...
Does this sound familiar?
This scenario was the impetus for docsNtalks, a collaborative networking platform and online archive for documents, presentations, and ongoing discussions begun at conferences, seminars, and think-tanks. Conferences are a great place to communicate ideas, share thoughts and discuss various topics, the problem is that once the conference is over, the discussions die off... this is where docsNtalks would like to come in and prolong this communication.
In addition, docsNtalks can be used to easily create your professional / academic resume. You are welcome to view my personal profile at:
http://www.docsntalks.com/profile/amir
You can also login as a visitor, using the login information:
user name: visit@docsNtalks.com
password: letmein
This user has in "My groups" two conferences for you to view. The demo one (not real) and "Mindshare" which is a monthly conference that takes place in LA.
docsNtalks can also be used for workshops, work groups and any group of people that wish to share documents. We are currently in beta stage and offer docsNtalks for free. You do need a promo code to start a group, which I would gladly provide to you. Also, if you know of any conferences in your field, either you are participating or organizing, we would love to help in way we can.
As for our marketing officer search, we are two scientists that think they have a great tool... but we know very little about marketing and selling it. We are looking for someone to join the team that will be in charge of marketing and sales. If you find this tool interesting and helpful, and you have ideas how to push this forward, we want to talk to you!
Would love to hear what you think,
